The ACP-200 was developed as an alternative to the ACP-100 when the applications requires more flexibility and processing capabilities than can be supported by the ACP-100.
ACP-200 Advantages:
The Model ACP-200 Optical Mark Reader is the latest design developed by Chatsworth Data Corporation to support gaming, evaluation, and data collection
applications. The ACP (Accessible Card Path) design was specifically developed for use in Gaming/POS applications with a jam free feed path and, incorporates a unique feature which allows easy access to the card path and optic lens for clearing obstructions and performing preventative maintenance on the unit.
Significantly faster than keyboard entry, the ACP-200 reads one side of an input form, inserted in either orientation, automatically and without error as it transports, and scans the data. Once the form has been scanned, the resulting data string is automatically transmitted to the communication port of the attached computer. Utilizing a powerful command set allows the end-user to easily program the output data format.
The operator and the speed of the computer control the processing speed of the forms. However, most 11-inch forms can be scanned at a rate of 1,500 to 1,800 forms per hour.
The ACP-200 utilizes "Visible Red" illumination reads black or blue marks made with a ballpoint pen or felt-tip pen as well as pencil, punched and pre-printed marks. Background printing must be in the visible red range. "Infra Red" illumination is available as an option for pencil only marking with colored background printing.
Two Command Sets are available to modify the default configuration of the ACP-200 to support a wide variety of form layouts and application requirements, one set for gaming applications, and one for Commercial applications.
The interface communication is either Asynchronous Serial RS-232C or USB.
The Model ACP-200 is supplied complete with an external Universal Power Supply (100-240V / 47-63Hz), Serial or USB Cable, Operator Guide, and Test Cards.
The durable design, simplicity of use, and versatility of the ACP-200 makes it an ideal device for a wide variety of data gathering applications.
